| An abnormal
opening in the atrial septum that allows free circulation of blood
between the right and left atria. Claims shall ony be admitted if the
condition warrants surgical closure for the reversal of haemodynamic
abnormalities and the prevention of heart failure, paradoxic
embolisation or irreversible pulmonary vascular disease, as recommended
by a qualified Paediatric Cardiologist.
Any child(ren) born within twelve (12) months of the Issue Date of this Supplementary Contract are not covered under this benefit. The benefit is only for children that survive at least thirty (30) days. |
