4.  INSULIN DEPENDENT DIABETES MELLITUS

Insulin dependant diabetes mellitus as characterised by the continuous dependence on exogenous insulin for the preservation of life as diagnosed by the consultant endocrinologist. Evidence of dependence for a minimum of six months will be required before a claim is considered.
